Editorial independence
This site earns money from affiliate commissions. That creates an obvious incentive problem. Here is exactly what I do about it.
What I will not do
I do not sell reviews. No vendor has ever paid, and none will ever pay, for a review to be written, for a score to be raised, or for a position in a ranking list.
I do not sell placement. The order of products in my buying guides is set by score and fit, never by commission rate.
I do not remove criticism on request. Vendors are welcome to correct a factual error, and I will fix it and note the correction. Opinions stay.
Where the conflict genuinely exists
I will not pretend the incentive disappears because I wrote a policy. Two honest admissions:
First, I am more likely to review a product that has an affiliate programme than one that does not, simply because that is how the site funds itself. That is a selection effect, and it is real.
Second, commission rates differ widely between products. A published scoring method is my defence against that mattering. The weights are fixed before I test, not adjusted afterwards.
How to check me
Read the scoring method, then read a review and see whether the score follows from the evidence. If a recommendation is not supported by what the review actually says, tell me: hello@nganlethi.com.
